I am being Impersonated again

In the Sporum, there is a user called RebeccaI208, sending PMs claiming I have quit Spore and is currently spamming on VRL, swearing, telling people to SPORE off or something and generally trying to get me banned.

Take no notice of this person, please. I am not quitting anything. I am not insulting anyone. I am not using that language.

And, VRL is now locked.

If people that receive the PM actually care enough, they´ll bother checking if the nickname is phony or not.

The down side of the spore comunity seriously ticks me off. People can be quite mean at times, with no need to whatsoever :/

Impersonators that try and ban you fail to realise that everyone knows Rebecca wouldn't act how the impersonator acts.

For example, swearing. Or quitting spore for no reason.

Well, the quitting for no reason I'd buy (no offence Becks). The rest however, definitely not. Besides, the one clue that gave it away for me was the lack of PM from this noob to me. I suspect if Becks were to quit, I would have gotten a PM from her either here or on the sporum about it.

Some people consider the rest of us dumb enough not to notice the username being different anyway. I am offended by that. Only a 0 and O are similar enough to cause this, at least to me anyway.

Quiting for no reason isn't out of character for anyone, but nor is it a reason to ban a person. Lots of creators have dissapeared with no explanation, well known ones at that.

sorry to hear about your troubles rebecca, but like tyranno said, people would know it isn't you, thats not your character to act up and swear.

I'd be suprised if anyone bought it. As has already been said, I'd have thought Becs would go out a bit more gracefully.

If I were to leave, I'd do it in silence, with a PM to some of my closer friends. Some of you know I've wanted to quit before, and God, the drama I caused, it's embarrassing >_>

Also, the 0-O is an easy mistake, sometimes. Especially if you have bad eye-sight. In my case, I recognize nouns and names as pictures. I look at the shape and length rather than the letters, without reading any of it (sounds weird but it's quick) so I quite easily mistake 0-O or 1-I-l at times, especially with ExcaIibur and techno6O5 (until I saw the creation)


But yeah.. Warmslime, Parkaboy and Vektrix (and maybe Copper & BB) are all aware, and soon so it MaxisCactus, so I'm hoping it really does end soon

Very rarely does that happen, and I didn't realize until only recently, but if that happens to me (when I have excellent eye-sight, I just recognize things the wrong way) people with bad eye-sight may struggle.

Then again, I know how most of you act, so I'd obviously be suspicious.

Wel my long range vision aint perfect, but luckily I can't see a computer screen just fine.

Did you check to see if anyone seriously thought that imposter was you?

I reserved the name Rebecca12O8 during the time the MassEden event occured.

So that can't be done.

Well, when people posted on VRL to ask if I were really quitting... seems like they fell for it, at first.

Before Rebecca was banned, she made a dragon creation named Eden, but she didn´t have enough time to upload it, for she had been banned.

As a way of protest, many people of the Spore community (after Rebecca shared the png through other programs) uploaded Eden and everyone rated up eachother´s Eden, with the description stating to unban Rebecca.

In a few hours, the MPN first pages were flooded with Eden protest creations, asking Rebecca to be unbanned.

It was a way to show that the community (or at least part of it) cared for this.

Why in the name of holy hell would you want to get rebbecca of all people banned?! What the ****?! Seriously, Rebecca, you are easily the nicest, most intelligent and logical, fair person I have ever met in Spore. EVER! There are some pretty big a-h's out there, why not go for them?

I dout it could happen again. there's not really another way to spell your name close enogh for people not to realise its not you
