D math is the course after C math, so it's more advanced. We did the C one between summer and Christmas, and the D one from spring until now. E is optional for me, so if I pass D I can happily announce that I might never have to endure a math course again.
Still have physics though, which also is very hard...
That's so different to how england has its exams, we have 'key stages' the first important ones being GCSE, then A.s and A level then whatever you choose to go do. They are graded from A* to U (fail). Your system seems more like a tier system, Im not sure which one I'd of preferred really. At least over here, once its done, its pretty much it.
Unless you are me and have to take the maths GCSE 3 times Hope your tests go well and that you make the grade you want

Congrats Trick
and Damnagoras, thats sounds painful. We have the same system as Red said. Do it once then thats it. P Hope you do well in D math.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well after much debating, weighing up the positives and negatives, I've decided to do my medical school degree through the army.
Normally I would not select this route, but unfortunately the incentives are too great. Not only will they wipe my previous debt clean, they will also pay me $60'000 a year for the four years of medical school, then I do one year of residency at a normal hospital, but then the down side, I will have to do four years as a medic in the army or airforce depending on which one I become a medic for.
From what I've been told, the chances of me being sent to the frontline is very very small and I will almost certain see zero combat. As well as the very larger amount I will be getting paid, I don't think its an offer I can pass up.
Best of all when I walk away from the military, I will be a fully fledged doctor, the same as one that went the normal route, only I won't be $100'000+ in debt.

That's great Remi!
I guess the monetary incentive is a big bonus, plus, you'll be afully fledged doctor with unique experience behind you. That can only be a good thing.
@Trick: They were mocks right? Well done though, goes to show you know your stuff!

You're welcome If I recall correctly, the mocks were still a bit nerve racking because if you didnt do well it made you stress even more, which is never helpful!

I hope your belly is feeling better, Red.
I love orange juice. When it's pure orange, nothing else added,... mmmhhh, refreshing.

Yargh, the cost of deciding to pursue a path like that, eh?
Sounds like you have everything worked out though and that it should pay off, so good luck.
Recently got interviewed for a segment on TV. Certainly an interesting experience, to be sure. Wasn't able to see the actual broadcast though because I don't have the channel, but I'm sure I'll be hearing about it tomorrow because many of my teachers and classmates were going to be watching.

Wow, that sounds exciting Dino! What was it about?
Although I'd be a little nervous of doing that, I hate hearing my own voice, let alone seeing myself on TV!

I'd hate hearing my voice too, I stay quiet if I suspect someone is recording within hearing range. I probably would refuse any offer to be on TV - regardless how little I would be on - I seriously can't stand the sound of my voice and how I look. Having to look myself in the mirror can be bad enough! No, if I was asked to be in an interview I'd shriek "No way ever!" and run the other way.

Haha, same, I hate my photo being taken or anything. Im not self concious really, just the normal level I guess, but I just hate seeing or hearing myself on video/film.
And yeah, if I was asked to be in an interview I'd hide.

I don't particularly like looking or hearing myself through video. I'd be too nervous to do a tv interview.

Well today was in a way my last day of uni for this semester. Today was the last day I had any lectures or labs on. I just have one anatomy test to do next week then I'm done until I have my exams.
Was sad. Had to say good bye to my favourite lecturer. Me and my friend get along really well with our anatomy lecture. We thanked him for teaching us the last two years and he said we were excellent students and he knew we'd do great in the exam. I'll admit I was a little chuffed when he said that.
After that we had our finally biochemistry lab. We had to extra pure DNA. The pair who got the highest concentration out of the material got an extra mark for their prac books (which goes towards our final grade). Won't go into the details, but its measure from 1.8 to 0 in terms of concentration. We got 1.45 which was higher than anyone else, so we got the extra marks. It was close though. Another pair got 1.43.
All around, in terms of uni happenings, today has been one of the best days I've had, not only this year, but since I started uni.

Glad to hear that Remi
Good job on the DNA extraction... Sounds very JP!
It's always sad to end a year, but it sounds like you are ending it on a high note, which is always

Re: User Announcements (Part IV)
indeed it is, though its not actually the end of the learning year for me, just the end of first semester. But looking forward to the 1.5 month break though. Sleep, wake up and feel no pressure to do any work what so ever. That will be a good feeling.
Re: User Announcements (Part IV)
In a week about three weeks from now, I'm having a presentation on Monday, exam on Tuesday, exam on Wednesday and two exams on Thursday. :S
I'm going to start studying more than 10 days earlier for all of that. ><
Looking forward to get it all done.

Well, not a pretty important announcement...
I got my blonde/yellow highlights yesterday. They are done with real hair color, and I am so happy about it because it is kinda my "birthday gift" from parents.
The only bad part is that now people call me blondie. T.T

Today, I learned I had the ability to scream from long durations of time, starting from low pitches, spiking to super high pitches, then going back to low. Something tells me this will be useful in thrash metal vocals.

It was more fallout from the art contest I won a while back, though rather than being more about the contest it was more about me and my work in general.
Wasn't nervous at all. I, too, actually don't normally like hearing my own voice or watching myself or anything like that, but I apparently do well when faced with an audience (and have been told a couple times I should consider being a public speaker) and I ended up handling the interview pretty good.
Made a small "victory" for my English class yesterday. It's my last class of the day, and now that the weather is getting nicer, many people want to go outside (especially since we were reading one of Shakespeare's works, that was the "excuse": "Sir, can we go outside and read?"). Well, with most of them having gotten a big "no" yesterday over the lunch hour pretty much most of my class all came up to be in a big swarm to ask me to ask the teacher that day, since for whatever reason they figured that, of anyone in the class, our teacher would listen to me the most.
So, we got into English and I asked the teacher and he said no (the immediate reaction being comments along the lines of "Omg, the plan failed! Crap. Well, so much for that. Looks like we'll never go outside," from multiple people). A few minutes later though when he was telling us what we would be doing that day at the end he added, "The outside thing? We'll talk about that later." Well, he took us outside for the last third of period and I received many 'Thank you"s and stuff and ultimately became a class hero for a bit. lol.
Oh, and I keep getting paper cuts on my hands. Grr.

Nicely done there Dino
The closest I ever came to being a class hero was making a semi-witty remark during an ancient history lesson that made people in the class room laugh.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Today after stressing about the Biochemistry exam, I found out, its completely multiple choice....... I think I exploded with happiness when I first found out.

I was very happy when my Biochemistry exam several years ago was multiple choice too.
Still hard, but I managed to pass that course.

We never ever had multiple choice tests in school. You either knew it or you wrote a fairy tale.
