Icedmask's modern art

Ok guys, I need some serious feedback. I make some sporeart, but I always get very unsure about the result. Is it good or not?

Here I have some few art creations Ive made, please be very honest about them =)

They are good.

I personally prefer the older style, but there are too many of that type around nowadays. Still, I can see both groups had some serious work into it and although it´s getting a bit overused, they look very cool. Tbh, some of them hardly look like they were made in Spore. Looks like something more... professional? made them.

I felt after creating in the old style for a time that I was making the same creation over and over again. I feel it's very limited, and I want to expand all the time..

wonder if I can try to make anything between the old and the new style Ball

You may persuade me back into Spore Art.... some excellent stuff. When it comes to art I struggle with colours and textures, when it comes to any other creation, I do not feel I struggle as much.

Mix the new style somehow with those ruin designs... Very Happy

I think if you use the matte colouring, you should probably stick to brighter colouring (for example, the second one in the new style is a touch bland, while the third one looks fantastic).
Shiny is always good.
I'd mix it up, do some matte, some shiny, see what works. Thumbs Up

Like I told you, I think they look good - the old and the new. I don't really know how to explain your new style. It looks like you kind of just drew them, that they aren't actually parts. I agree with Zellex about the second one being a little bland though.

Oh, and you are my feature #3 if you haven't noticed Very Happy

Thank you for all your feedback =) Yeah, Maybe a something in between the two styles would do. The last in the New Style is the one Ive been most happy with, remember it got to #1 MPN too..
