I'm just hoping this forum doesn't go down the same path that the Spore forums did. It would be nice to keep it at this state, although I'm already starting see a few potential conflicts. They've cooled down since now, but I can imagine these disagreements on a larger magnitude...

Well, as part of your job as a moderator you'll have to resolve such conflicts, so you can actually have a direct impact on the route that the forum will be taking

Honestly Darkspore is already on it's way to that. First week it was so nice and peaceful, but then in the second week there were so many stupid kids whining that the beta was delayed for a serious reason. Third week? Dreading it.

But hopefully the (currently) 5 of us can battle it out. I've already had to tell one person off 3 times.

And I really do hope moderators get to sticky threads soon... there's two I need to sticky D:

I think the current only way is to make a new EA ID However, that shouldn't matter too much for those who haven't got a Beta key, since they wont be losing anything.

I tried changing my persona today, but that didn't work. I haven't tried making another. *Goes off to do so*

Trick, you should be able to politely ask an admin to change your name. They can do that with the board they're using.

I'm not sure how connected they are to the accounts though.

Depending on what privilages loki has, she might even be able to do it.

I'm not sure if they can, since it's wired down to EA's ID accounts, not forum-based.

Sure, ask an admin, but I think you'd be better off registering a new Master ID

But the mods are going to have their work cutout for them with all those little kids spazzing about delays.

Btw, Maxis are giving out 2 beta keys for each contender, which was a nice extra
