Minecraft Sculptures & Formations

Since more people have started playing Minecraft lately (especially myself : D) I thought it would be fun to share what we've made. You can also post videos and images of other people's stuff, as there are some insane sculptures and discoveries/formations out there.

Here's one I've just finished. I did this in single player, so I've used absolutely no cheats.

2 Pyramids and an inverted underwater pyramid

Lol nice inverted pyramid. I was going to build an underwater glass house, but I failed and flooded it. Not on purpose, however.

It's the first I've made. Had a few problems, but didn't take too long... only a couple hours... and I told myself I would only play for a couple minutes.

Oh, and Remington, the more you play Minecraft, the more creative you get... or at least that's for me.

I have an under water dome I am working on, I kinda made it the hard way so it took over a month D:

But now I thought of a better way to do it...

Well... I just got into Hell for the first time. I tried earlier today but the computer absolutely refused to handle minecraft, MSN and FRAPS all on at the same time, it crashed non-stop and made me rage quit. Tried again now, same issue but I solved it. Well. The video quality is **** and it didn't realize I held the SHIFT key so it had me fall straight down into an endless sea of lava, losing 60+ Iron Ingots, 2 Iron Pickaxes, 5 Stone Pickaxes, and my first and only Diamond Pickaxe. Yeah. I'm pretty ****ed off right now It would have been SLIGHTLY worth it if the video was decent quality, but now I can't even show it.

I want it really bad, but I have no moneys. Oh wait. Now I feel dumb. I can post pics from the demo. I will be back!

I am going to play minecraft multi player free build now... I need to buy the full game, lol.

I got the alpha so that I didn't have to pay a higher price when it updates to beta.

I found money, and got it. Hooray!
My first home! I respawn in the perfect spot too, just a few blocks behind me. And see that cow in the left top area? It landed on me and scared the googleys out of me!

So, in my messing around with Classic, I've been able to come up with an airlock of sorts, that allows you to have a way in and out of an underwater structure without getting flooded.

Dunno if it would work in Alpha though, on account of the different water mechanics involved...

It does, I have done it before. With my under water dome

I wish I could buy Minecraft Alpha. Though, my dad thinks it is a silly game. T.T

Water can be quite glitchy. If you use ladders, water just naturally flows around it, not through it, for example. In multiplayer, water spawners aren't always perfect.

Who cares if minecraft is a silly game? So is Spore. And tell your Dad that it's better to get it now while it's cheaper than when it turns into Beta. You/he will probably regret it if you want it at that time.



I finally managed to get my server working again. I made hell. Pics will follow soon.

Yeah, the water is a bit glitchy, but some glitches can benefit you, such as the "Water lifts" you can make (And what I use to transport myself to my tower) or the infinite water springs you can put together in a second.

Now, I only wish lava was the same way...

I know, it looks pretty uninteresting, but the thing is, I've edited the texture This is the first time I've ever personally altered a game. Now, if you excuse me, I have something awesome to do...

Also, has anyone else changed their character's appearance? I have.

Cool map, Loki. Now add some Spore creatures in there and you got a nice game


Is it possible to, say, build a Capture the Flag map and then play versus other users and interact with them? By attacks and such?

Seems like a fun game. A bit limited in some ways though.

Maybe I'll show my underground base, minecart station and mob tower (which doesn't produce that much anymore after the update) as well later on.

I actually saw ads for Minecraft before it even became popular. It was something I just ignored while I played sandbox games.

I'd show you my 8-Bit Island, but 1) The picture's too large to upload to Blogger, and 2) I seriously want my own server.

Minecraft's addicting for sure. Half the time when I tried going to multiplayer my computer freezes. So, right now Im working on an underground base, but unfortunatly sprung a leak, so I'll have to show a picture later.

By the way, is your username Lumorei on minecraft, lum?
