What's this? You don't need to buy Alpha to play it, you just can't play it offline? You're joking.

Yup, you don't need to buy it. You just can't play online without buying it and having an account. Though you can only play offline if you have downloaded minecraft.

And for you people, Download. Though the download url doesn't work right now, because of the 502 error.

Well, I was able to get it downloaded, but I can't seem to log in atm. Maybe because I've not pais, maybe because of their server issues. I dunno.

The errors are a result of Minecraft.net being down. Just give it some time and the main servers shall be fixed.

Also, for the Alpha download, you need to log in AT LEAST ONCE before you can play offline. Unless you Torrent it, I think. I don't know.

Also, my Alpha server is finally fixed, but you require a download to get onto it, and I'd need to check with my friends first for permission.

True, I got the basic structure in my head. The only thing I am not bothered to create was the Minecart track I made.

Oh well.

Well, to tell you guys what it was like, it was like this:

A basic house, and at the back there are steps going down to the ground. After the part where it reaches the ground, there is a small "house" with 3 boat inside, a workbench and a chest (this is basically the harbour). A long tunnel starts after 3 set of double doors. At the end of the tunnel, there are two ways to go. The left way goes to another tunnel which leads to a portal, and if you go straight forwards, you go into the ocean and are free to go where you want.

And that's it basically. Pretty awesome if you got to see it though...

Any way to "modify" the executable to make it think it's played online once?

Multiplayer, you need to log in, full stop. Classic, it's not an issue.
