Minecraft Servers

I've tried everything I can do my side. It's really odd.

Is Remy on? If he is, or you happen to see him would anyone mind either asking him to come here and read this post or asking him this in game?

So far, from what I've read Remy either has to restart the server (because I would have tried to access it so much in a short period it wont allow me on) or he has to delete my player.dat file in the world folder.

Obviously if he's not happy to do that, its fine, because It'll delete me as a player and he'll probably have to give my rights back and all that, plus its hassle!

Well, if you haven't already, restart your machine. One time, my computer typed everything backwards, until I restarted it. It was extremely odd.

Thanks for the advice Horm, but I've let it power down completley an everything. Lol, I tried allsorts, I think my player.dat file is corrupted though, at least that's what i get from everything I've read, seems to be a common problem with the latest update

On that subject, my mouse pad somtimes refuses to work and I have to run the battery out completley before it starts working again... the most annoying thing ever. Lol, typing backward though, wtf!?!

Can you alter your .dat file by any chance?

I don't think so. It's stored on his server file, or that's what I gathered at least. I'll have a poke around and see

EDIT: nope, it has to be in his files. It'll be named Orbixitron.dat Basicly I'll restart at spawn with no iventory and anything that was corrupted will be gone. Im hoping thats the fix. All my special stuff is in chests, so thats safe, luckily!

I wonder if anyone else can connect...

Well, I've been having this problem all day and most of yesterday too. However LoD and Remi have been able to get on. I don't think its a server issue, or an issue my end, I really think its my file.

It was doing wierd laggy stuff last time I was on, espite my FPS being up from what they usually are.

I don't know what's wrong Orbix, I haven't banned you or anything. What does it say when you try to log on?

I'll try deleting your playerfile and restarting the server. hope that works

To give you the lowdown, I tried logging on yesterday and It told me that I had a bad login. I tried again and it told me the stream had stopped. I guessed the server was down and tried later. From then on it just told me 'unable to connect, internal server error'

Ive done a bit of reading and did everything like clearing my plugins, upating java, forcing minecraft to replace the jar file, clearing my DNS, and the obvious restart.

Then I came across a thread that said somtimes the player data gets corrupted, randomly. I think thats what happened, no idea why really. if deleting my file works, that was what it was.

EDIT: that did work, just incase anyone else gets this problem.

I stayed up way too late playing minecraft, I built a portal and started a light house, that isnt very lighthouseish. Well, its in progress...

Is you lighthouse round? I've tried building round building, but I don't have the patience to figure out exactly how many blocks at what angle I'd need to use to make it look round.


Been sheep hunting. I needs there wool to make my carpet. and as I am to lazy to make dye, I need to find the right coloured ones to make my carpet consistent.

Speaking of lighthouses, I made one once. It's somewhere in the formations topic.
It's not round, though, but I used the red nether blocks to keep a fire going at all times. Looks good from a distance.

Aw, thats a good idea. I used glowstone for one of the bands, which is supposed to flash when the minecarts go round, but they keep messing up (I think because people keep riding them xD )

Im putting lava at the top in a glass tank and no, its not round, im way too lazy for that! However, I am collecting red flowers so I can put red wool instead of planks... the planks don't look so good.

haha, remi you do know you can use /kit wool for wool?

Well the server keeps esplodin (in the words of pie) so I keep getting kicked out!

However, we went to the nether and built a random portal to see where it would take us... this is what happened:

Hmm, Im also going to build a big underground city, although Im still clearing a huge amount of space... I also found my house had a dungeon underneath it, but it had already been pilfered

I paid a visit to a server they visit to (found via google search) and lets just say they won't be visiting that server again.

Hopefully Remy has the place backed up and can get rid of the misfits. And delete my dat file so I can come back online.

Uh oh, thats the problem I had. Has it sorted itself out yet or not? If not, Remy will have to delete your player.Dat file. I'll ask him when I see him, which will be in about 20 minutes hopefully.

If you had anything in your iventory, it will be lost But I can respawn it for you
