Remy informed me it was because I gave loads of stuff to people in huge quantities... I crashed the whole server :/ Oops.

Although I don't think that it was entirey your fault, the server always seems to get slow when we set up those 5 clock lights and it had began to rain...

I get a End of Steam or a Internal Error message every time I try.

Yeah, guys, I think its crashed. It did it a couple of times last night.

Remy was saying it was giving warning messages all last night but didnt seem to be doing anything. It was also a bit laggy and stuff, so I guess its a temporary crash. His website (which is ran off the same server) is also down.

Don't panic, don't think its an issue your end

Depending on the server traffic, he may need to allot it more RAM. I read that a rule of thumb is 1G for every 5 people connected.

Yeah, I do. but the strange thing is all was fine before with the same amount of players. I'm guessing it's the redstone circuitry though. The moment people are working on large projects with it that run continuously the server begins giving the "system time out of memory" warning.
I'm going for some extra ram soon. to leave this all behind us.

I should just rename this the Remypas Server Thread.

When I made it it was just supposed to be a thread to get a question answered. It never really had a topic.

In other news. Betapocalypse is/was fun. I feel an evil satisfaction in watching everything go boom. I have a few screenies of what sort of mess the server was left in, which I shall upload.

Mobs were fun as well and I think it'd be great fun if we had that mob weekend somtime. Especially if we were working together on the server to hold off against them... rather than trying to blow everything up XD

I do kind of want to get back to building now though... as well as playing around with the pistons. Still, im sure I can live with blowing stuff up a bit more first.

I have seen a tutorial, and now from memory I can make the Mojang door in the 1.7 teaser It's suprisingly simple for what it is

Really want to play around with pistons (but not untill bukkit is back up, so I can be lazy and spawn them xD ) We managed to find a way to launch TnT with them. But thats not really that useful...

So, they finally added the pistons

Now, if only I could find some slimes to make sticky pistons... Any tips, anyone?

They are found at incredibly deep places. So basically go really deep and clear out right down near bedrock level. Make just a big room. Light doesn't matter. You can have it or you don't. It doesn't affect their spawn.

Probably not Jeff. Anything that was too far away without warps or wasn't in immediate view was pretty safe. Everythings restored now though so even if it was it doesn't matter.
